Wild bird lands in New Zealand Museum

In March 2016 at the Auckland Museum in New Zealand, a photo of a yellow-rumped warbler from the Wild Birds Flying collection appeared in an exhibit on the mechanics of bird flight. The Ornithology collections manager explained the basics of bird flight using wings, wing bones, and our 24″ by 30″ print. It’s exciting. I wish I could have made the trip to hear the story!

Lonny Magazine

Thanks for the mention, Lonny magazine! WBF was pleased to have our four-print Flight Collection included in their article “7 Pieces From Room & Board’s 2016 Collection We’re Lusting After.” The American goldfinch in particular caught their attention. Got a favorite? We think that any bird image is a great way to bring a little bit of wildlife into your house.  Lonny article

SURTEX 2016

Wild Birds Flying will have a presence at the SURTEX® 2016 show. The SURTEX exposition and conference is North America’s premier event for the selling and licensing of original art and design — where artists, art agents, licensing agencies, and licensors connect with manufacturers and retailers.

We’re excited about being a part of the SURTEX trade show — and eager to introduce the Wild Birds Flying line to a broader audience.

Licensing for 2016 Calendars

Wild Birds Flying made two licensing deals for eye-catching 2016 calendars. One was produced for the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development as a gift for their patrons. The 5″ by 5″ desktop calendar was a huge hit according to the client. The second calendar was produced by the Steinhauser Group for John Roberts Printing. It features birds as well as colored ink (that I had previously photographed) and really showcases the images’ wide range of capabilities.
